Senator Kai Kahele visited our Department on December 10, 2018, meeting with our Chair, faculty, and key KMCWC leaders. As a representative of the 1st Senatorial District and the chair of the Senate Higher Education Committee, Dr. Kahele was interested in learning about our departmental efforts to support medical students, residents, and neighbor island communities. During his successful visit, Senator Kahele had an opportunity to gain some understanding of our faculty practice endeavors and our resident rotation plans for Hilo.
