Dr. Patricia Hunt
Dr. Hunt is a Regents Professor in the School of Molecular Biosciences at Washington State University, Pullman, WA. Her research focuses on the genetic control of mammalian gametogenesis, with a major emphasis on meiosis, the age-related increase in meiotic errors in the human female, the impact of environmental contaminants on mammalian reproduction, and assisted reproductive technologies. Her collaborative research using mouse, human, and monkey models to understand BPA pharmacokinetics, the effects of environmental EDC exposures on both male and female meiosis, and the mechanisms through which these effects are asserted makes her ideally suited to serve as co-PI on the proposed studies.
