Our department has over 120 devoted clinical faculty, comprising:
2026 Preceptor Mahalo Brunch
Annual opportunity for JABSOM students and leaders to share gratitude and appreciation for JABSOM preceptors across Hawaiʻi.
From left to right: Drs. Lynne Saito-Tom (Clerkship Program Director), Ivica Zalud (Department Chair), and Lynette Tsai (Clinical Assistant Professor and 2026 "Exceptional Precepting in OB/GYN" awardee).
Recent honorees include our clinical faculty: Drs. Clyner Antalan, Frankin Dao, and Emilie Stickley.
These remarkable physicians bring a wealth of clinical knowledge, enriching the mentorship of OB/GYN trainees while providing essential patient care, safety, and experience for underserved populations. Their commitment extends beyond direct patient care as they contribute to our educational committees and play an invaluable role in shaping the next generation of physicians. They are instrumental in the growth of our learners, helping them explore unique medical training and clinical opportunities around the islands.
Many of our clinical faculty also support the academic clinical learning environment by enrolling patients in clinical trials and aiding research in innovative ways. Additionally, for departmental philanthropy, they are key contributors whose generosity helps sustain and enhance our educational and research initiatives. Moreover, some of our clinical faculty hold prominent leadership positions within Hawaiʻi's health systems.
