Why did you choose the University of Hawaii to do your training?

As ineloquent as this may be, I listened to my heart!

What’s the best thing about being a resident/fellow at the University of Hawaii?

Having the privilege to take care of and learn from the women of Hawaii. I am so humbled by our patients’ graciousness and have learned so much from them. Additionally, seeing each MFM attending pursue their individual passions (which are very different!) has been inspiring.

What are your some of your favorite local foods and places to eat?

Helena’s Hawaiian for the Pipikaula short ribs and butterfish, Ono Seafood for my favorite poke bowl,Tonkatsu Tamafuji for the best katsu, and Island Vintage’s Heavenly Lilikoi shave ice for dessert. Can you tell I like the food in Hawaii?

How do you like to spend your off-time?

Hiking, attempting to bodyboard at Waimanalo Beach, and enjoying the island breeze and rainbows.
